Knowledge of health insurance

 Medical costs for the insured person are covered by health insurance up to the insured amount. Health insurance plans can either be reimbursement-based, in which case the patient must pay the hospital out of pocket first and then request reimbursement, or cashless, in which case the insurer will pay the hospital directly after the claim.
